This golden puree is absolutely delicious! Every baby I know loves this one and it’s so easy to make! Also, think about using the acorn squash puree as a base for other purees. I mix my acorn squash puree with chicken and broccoli puree or baby peas puree.
Acorn Squash Puree
One whole acorn squash
Olive oil
Liquid (whatever you like to use, milk, formula, water or breastmilk)
Cut acorn squash in half. Scoop out the seeds and brush on a bit of olive oil all over the flesh of the squash. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place acorn on a cookie sheet and put in the oven. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Scoop out the flesh into your blender. Add a couple of tablespoons of liquid and puree. Add more liquid to get the desired consistency. How easy was that?!
